✨ Technical Specifications
Trapiche's Medalla was first crafted in 1983 to commemorate the winery's centenary milestone, representing a landmark in Argentine winemaking as one of the country's first premium, oak-aged Malbecs. Sourced from select high-altitude vineyards in the prestigious Primera Zona of Mendoza, particularly Luján de Cuyo, this wine showcases the classic, concentrated character of old-vine Malbec. The grapes undergo meticulous selection, followed by fermentation and aging for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels. This traditional process imparts a sophisticated structure, velvety tannins, and rich layers of dark plum, black cherry, and sweet spices, balanced by a refined mineral undertone characteristic of Mendoza's stony, alluvial soils.
