The Melodias range from Trapiche is designed to capture the harmony of Mendoza's high-altitude terroirs, drawing inspiration from the musical rhythm of the Andean foothills. Sourced from selected vineyards across Mendoza, this Merlot benefits from the region's intense sunlight and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts, which foster optimal phenolic ripeness while retaining essential acidity. To emphasize the grape's natural fruitiness and soft texture, the wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by minimal oak contact. This approach highlights Merlot's classic plum and black cherry notes, presenting a supple, approachable style that showcases Argentina's capability with Bordeaux varietals beyond Malbec.

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region. Under the guidance of renowned winemakers, Trapiche focuses on expressing the diverse terroirs of Mendoza—ranging from high-altitude Andean vineyards to their pioneering coastal estate in Chapadmalal, Buenos Aires. The winery is globally acclaimed for its exceptional Malbecs, particularly its Single Vineyard series, as well as elegant expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
