Trapiche's Perfiles series is an avant-garde exploration of how different soil textures in Mendoza shape the ultimate character of Malbec. The Textura Fina (Fine Texture) bottling is sourced from vineyards planted in deep, silty-clay soils, primarily in the Agrelo region of Luján de Cuyo. These fine-grained soils retain moisture beautifully, allowing the vines to undergo a slow, balanced ripening process. The resulting wine is celebrated for its incredibly plush, velvety mouthfeel and soft, integrated tannins, offering a stark and fascinating contrast to the chalky, mineral-driven profiles of limestone-grown Malbecs. Winemaking emphasizes gentle extraction and moderate oak aging to preserve the luscious red fruit profile and the naturally silky texture that defines this unique terroir study.

Established in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Bodega Trapiche stands as one of the historic pillars of Argentine viticulture. Located in Coquimbito, Maipú, within a meticulously restored 1912 Florentine-style bodega, the estate balances immense production scale with nuanced terroir exploration. Under the ownership of Grupo Peñaflor and winemaking direction of Sergio Casé, Trapiche orchestrates fruit from over 1,000 hectares of estate vineyards alongside long-term grower partnerships.
