Trapiche's 'Pure' Chardonnay is a vibrant testament to the raw beauty of Mendoza's high-altitude terroirs, crafted entirely without the influence of oak. Sourced from select vineyards in the cool Uco Valley, this wine represents a modern, minimalist approach to winemaking. By fermenting and aging the juice strictly in stainless steel tanks, the winemakers preserve the pristine, unadorned character of the Chardonnay grape. This cuvée honors the pioneering spirit of the historic estate, founded in 1883, by showcasing how Argentina's dramatic mountain climate can produce whites of incredible freshness, mineral tension, and pure varietal expression.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region. Under the guidance of renowned winemakers, Trapiche focuses on expressing the diverse terroirs of Mendoza—ranging from high-altitude Andean vineyards to their pioneering coastal estate in Chapadmalal, Buenos Aires. The winery is globally acclaimed for its exceptional Malbecs, particularly its Single Vineyard series, as well as elegant expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
