✨ wine.spec_sheet

Trapiche's Reserve Malbec is a classic representation of Mendoza's signature grape, sourced from select high-altitude vineyards at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The intense mountain sunlight and dramatic diurnal temperature swings of Mendoza allow the grapes to achieve optimal ripeness while retaining a vibrant, balancing acidity. This wine undergoes a traditional fermentation followed by aging for approximately nine months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. This careful wood treatment imparts elegant nuances of vanilla and sweet spices to the wine's core of lush plum, black cherry, and characteristic violet aromas, reflecting Trapiche's long-standing heritage of pioneering quality in Argentina.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region. Under the guidance of renowned winemakers, Trapiche focuses on expressing the diverse terroirs of Mendoza—ranging from high-altitude Andean vineyards to their pioneering coastal estate in Chapadmalal, Buenos Aires. The winery is globally acclaimed for its exceptional Malbecs, particularly its Single Vineyard series, as well as elegant expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
