Part of Trapiche's acclaimed Terroir Series, the Viña Eleodoro Aciar Malbec is a masterclass in single-vineyard expression, celebrating the unique partnership between the winery and its dedicated grape growers. Located in the extreme, high-altitude microclimate of El Cepillo in San Carlos, Uco Valley, the vineyard sits at over 1,100 meters above sea level. Here, grower Eleodoro Aciar tends to vines planted in sandy-loam soils layered with calcium carbonate. The intense solar radiation and dramatic diurnal temperature swings yield small, concentrated berries. The resulting wine, typically aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak, is a profound and structured Malbec characterized by intense dark fruit, wild herbs, violets, and a distinctive chalky minerality that reflects its unique Andean terroir.

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region. Under the guidance of renowned winemakers, Trapiche focuses on expressing the diverse terroirs of Mendoza—ranging from high-altitude Andean vineyards to their pioneering coastal estate in Chapadmalal, Buenos Aires. The winery is globally acclaimed for its exceptional Malbecs, particularly its Single Vineyard series, as well as elegant expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
