The 'Hommage Georgette Trimbach' is a rare and deeply personal cuvée created by Maison Trimbach to honor the memory of Georgette Trimbach, the beloved matriarch of the family's 11th generation. Sourced from exceptional old-vine parcels in Ribeauvillé—primarily within the limestone-rich soils of the Osterberg Grand Cru—this Pinot Gris is crafted only in exceptional vintages. Unlike Trimbach's classically bone-dry style, this tribute wine embraces a richer, more opulent profile with a touch of noble sweetness, reminiscent of a Vendanges Tardives. It undergoes slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel and old oak foudres, avoiding malolactic fermentation to preserve the pristine, structural acidity that defines the Trimbach signature. The result is a masterpiece of tension and texture, marrying luscious notes of ripe stone fruits, honey, and smoky minerals with a vibrant, age-worthy spine.
