The Stevens Single Vineyard Shiraz is a celebrated expression of the long-standing partnership between Tyrrell's and the Stevens family, who have tended this dry-grown vineyard in the Hunter Valley for decades. Situated on the valley floor, the vineyard is characterized by its unique soil profile of dark, sandy loam over red volcanic clay. This terroir yields a Shiraz of distinct personality, marked by savory complexity rather than sheer power. In the cellar, Tyrrell's employs traditional Hunter Valley methods, fermenting the hand-picked fruit in open-top vats and aging the wine in large, older French oak casks. This gentle treatment preserves the bright red fruit, white pepper, and earthy undertones, resulting in a medium-bodied, elegant red that beautifully reflects its historic origin.

Established in 1858 by English immigrant Edward Tyrrell, Tyrrell's is one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious family-owned wineries, located in the historic Pokolbin sub-region of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
