Sourced from select, limestone-rich parcels across the Mâconnais, this 100% Chardonnay cuvée is designed to showcase the diverse micro-terroirs of the region. Guffens, famous for challenging Burgundy's traditional hierarchies, applies the same rigorous standards to this wine as he does to his prestigious single-vineyard bottlings. The grapes undergo gentle pneumatic pressing, followed by fermentation and aging primarily in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats to preserve the pristine fruit character and vibrant acidity. The result is a beautifully textured white wine defined by notes of crisp green apple, citrus blossom, and a signature chalky, mineral-driven finish that punches far above its regional classification.

Maison Verget was established in 1990 by visionary Belgian winemaker Jean-Marie Guffens and his wife Maine Heynen in Sologny, located in the Mâconnais region of southern Burgundy. Renowned as a trailblazing négociant-éleveur, the house revolutionized Burgundy winemaking by implementing uncompromising standards of fruit selection, gentle horizontal pressing, and precise maturation on fine lees with minimal oak intervention. While celebrated globally for its pure, mineral-laden Chardonnay sourced across prime terroirs from the Mâconnais to Chablis and the Côte d'Or, Verget also applies its meticulous craft to expressive Pinot Noir and pioneering southern expressions.
