✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hailing from one of the most prestigious climats in Chablis, the Vaulorent vineyard enjoys a legendary reputation. It is the only Premier Cru situated on the actual Grand Cru hill, sharing the same Kimmeridgian limestone soils and prized southwest exposure as its immediate neighbor, Les Preuses. Maison Verget crafts this 100% Chardonnay to showcase the unique tension and power of this exceptional terroir. The winemaking philosophy emphasizes purity and minimal intervention, utilizing gentle pressing and aging on fine lees in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak. This approach preserves the wine's intense, flinty minerality, vibrant acidity, and complex layers of citrus and white stone fruit, resulting in a Premier Cru that frequently rivals the depth of a Grand Cru.
