✨ Technical Specifications
Veuve Clicquot's Demi-Sec NV is a beautiful nod to the 19th-century preference for sweeter Champagnes, famously adored by the Russian Tsars and European high society. While modern tastes lean towards Brut, this cuvée keeps the historical flame alive with a generous dosage that perfectly balances sweetness with vibrant acidity. Crafted primarily from Pinot Noir for structure, supplemented by Meunier for roundness and Chardonnay for elegance, it incorporates a significant proportion of aged reserve wines to ensure depth and consistency. After aging on its lees in the house's historic chalk crayères in Reims, it emerges as a rich, pastry-scented Champagne with notes of brioche, candied citrus, and honeyed stone fruit.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot in Reims, Veuve Clicquot rose to global prominence under the visionary leadership of Madame Clicquot, the legendary Grande Dame of Champagne who took control of the house in 1805. Renowned for transformative innovations including the creation of the riddling table and the development of the first blended rosé Champagne, the Maison has shaped modern sparkling winemaking history. Anchored in premier terroirs across Champagne, the estate champions a Pinot Noir-dominant philosophy that delivers structural power, richness, and enduring freshness. Today, part of the LVMH group, the house is celebrated globally for its iconic Yellow Label Brut as well as prestige expressions like La Grande Dame and the vintage Cave Privée series.
