The Cave Privée Vintage Rosé is a testament to the exceptional aging potential of Pinot Noir-dominant blends. Historically, Madame Clicquot herself created the first known blended rosé Champagne in 1818 by adding still red wine from Bouzy to her sparkling wines, breaking away from the traditional maceration method. This cuvée honors that legacy, combining the structural power of Pinot Noir with the elegance of Chardonnay and a touch of Pinot Meunier. Aged on its lees for up to two decades or more before a low-dosage disgorgement, it reveals an incredibly complex profile of dried red fruits, saffron, smoke, and toasted brioche, preserving remarkable freshness despite its venerable age.
