In 1810, Madame Clicquot, the legendary 'Grande Dame of Champagne,' broke with tradition to create the region's first recorded vintage Champagne, a bold move that forever changed the sparkling wine world. Veuve Clicquot's Vintage Reserve pays homage to this pioneering spirit. Sourced predominantly from prestigious Grand and Premier Cru vineyards across the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, and the Marne Valley, this cuvée is anchored by the house's signature grape, Pinot Noir, which imparts structure, power, and vinous depth. Chardonnay contributes elegance and mineral precision, while a touch of Meunier adds supple fruitiness. Aged for several years on its lees in the house's historic chalk crayères, the wine develops complex aromas of toasted brioche, dried fruits, and refined minerality, reflecting both the unique character of a single harvest and the enduring legacy of the yellow label.
