✨ wine.spec_sheet

Sourced from the historic estate of Château d'Ollwiller, one of the very few privileged properties in Alsace permitted to use the prestigious 'Château' designation, this rosé carries centuries of winemaking heritage. The estate's history is deeply intertwined with the region's nobility, dating back to the Middle Ages, and its vineyards thrive on a unique microclimate sheltered by the Vosges mountains. The terroir here is characterized by a mix of clay, silt, and sand, which imparts a delicate mineral complexity to the vines. Crafted from Pinot Noir, the grapes undergo a brief skin contact to extract a brilliant pale pink hue before a cool, temperature-controlled fermentation. The result is a refined, dry rosé that beautifully captures the vibrant, fresh-fruited elegance of southern Alsace.

Established in 1959 at the foot of the historic Hartmannswillerkopf battlefield in Wuenheim, France, the Cave du Vieil-Armand is the southernmost wine cooperative in Alsace. Drawing from unique terroirs characterized by granite and silt soils, the winery is celebrated for its precise, expressive Crémant d'Alsace sparkling wines, including the Bienvenue Brut and Chateau Ollwiller expressions, the latter sourced from one of the region's few historic castle estates. Committed to sustainable winegrowing, they produce an elegant range of traditional Alsatian varietals, from mineral-driven Sylvaner to rich Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The estate is located at 1 Route de Cernay, 68500 Wuenheim, Alsace, France, and their official website is https://www.cave-vieil-armand.com.
