Hailing from the sun-drenched, southerly slopes of Alsace near the historic Hartmannswillerkopf, this Sylvaner is a vibrant tribute to one of the region's most traditional and historic grape varieties. Once the dominant grape of Alsace, Sylvaner has found a dedicated guardian in the Cave du Vieil-Armand. Grown on complex terroirs of granite sand and silt, the vines benefit from a unique microclimate that coaxes out the grape's delicate, refreshing character. The winemakers employ gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the pure, primary fruit aromas and the subtle, stony minerality derived from the local soils, resulting in a beautifully balanced, thirst-quenching dry white wine.

Established in 1959 at the foot of the historic Hartmannswillerkopf battlefield in Wuenheim, France, the Cave du Vieil-Armand is the southernmost wine cooperative in Alsace. Drawing from unique terroirs characterized by granite and silt soils, the winery is celebrated for its precise, expressive CrΓ©mant d'Alsace sparkling wines, including the Bienvenue Brut and Chateau Ollwiller expressions, the latter sourced from one of the region's few historic castle estates. Committed to sustainable winegrowing, they produce an elegant range of traditional Alsatian varietals, from mineral-driven Sylvaner to rich Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The estate is located at 1 Route de Cernay, 68500 Wuenheim, Alsace, France, and their official website is https://www.cave-vieil-armand.com.
