Villa Maria, founded in 1961 by Sir George Fistonich, is one of New Zealand's most iconic and pioneering wineries. The Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc represents a step up in intensity and complexity, blending fruit sourced from the distinct sub-regions of Marlborough: the Wairau Valley and the Awatere Valley. The warmer Wairau Valley provides ripe tropical fruit notes of passionfruit and grapefruit, while the cooler, wind-swept Awatere Valley contributes flinty minerality, fresh herbs, and crisp acidity. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its vibrant aromatics, this wine showcases the classic, energetic style that made Marlborough world-famous.

Villa Maria blev grundlagt i 1961 af Sir George Fistonich og står i dag som et af New Zealands mest anerkendte og banebrydende vinhuse.
