Sourced from organically managed vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, this wine reflects a holistic approach to farming where wildflowers and cover crops are planted to encourage beneficial insects and soil health. The terroir, characterized by stony, free-draining soils and a climate of hot days and cool nights, imparts an intense, vibrant profile. Villa Maria blev grundlagt i 1961 af Sir George Fistonich og står i dag som et af New Zealands mest anerkendte og banebrydende vinhuse.
