This quintessential Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc represents the pioneering spirit of the region, showcasing a blend of fruit from both the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. The unique terroir, characterized by high sunshine hours, cool coastal breezes, and free-draining stony soils, imparts a distinctive mineral edge and intense aromatic profile. To preserve the pristine, vibrant fruit character, the grapes are harvested in the cool of the night and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, avoiding oak contact to maintain the wine's celebrated freshness, zip, and purity.

Villa Maria blev grundlagt i 1961 af Sir George Fistonich og står i dag som et af New Zealands mest anerkendte og banebrydende vinhuse.
