While Marlborough is famous for its stony riverbeds, this single-vineyard expression showcases the ancient, dense clay soils of the Southern Valleys. These heavy Wither clay soils restrict vine vigor and retain moisture, forcing the roots deep and yielding Pinot Noir of remarkable structural density, dark fruit concentration, and earthy complexity. Hand-harvested and aged in fine French oak barriques, this wine reflects the meticulous craftsmanship of one of New Zealand's most historic family-owned wineries, delivering a brooding, savory profile balanced by elegant, fine-grained tannins.
