✨ Technical Specifications
Bruma del Estrecho de Marín Paraje Marín is a terroir-driven project by Elena Pacheco and Ismael Gozalo within Viña Elena, focused on expressing single-parcel variations of Monastrell in Jumilla. Paraje Marín originates from dry-farmed, old bush vines grown on sandy, limestone-rich soils in the southern, arid part of the appellation. Fermented using indigenous yeasts and unaged or lightly aged in neutral vessels to preserve the pure expression of fruit and place, it highlights the floral and fresh side of Monastrell rooted in intense Mediterranean solar exposure.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1948 by Francisco Pacheco, Bodegas Viña Elena is a family-owned estate nestled in the rugged, high-altitude landscape of Jumilla within Murcia, Spain. Today guided by the third generation under Elena Pacheco, the winery is dedicated to preserving viticultural heritage through sustainable farming and precise, terroir-driven winemaking. The estate focuses predominantly on old bush-trained, dry-farmed Monastrell grapes cultivated across distinct soil profiles and microclimates. Viña Elena is widely celebrated for producing authentic, nuanced red wines—including their acclaimed Bruma del Estrecho de Marín parcel series—that elegantly balance intense Mediterranean fruit with mineral freshness.
