Weingut Leitz's 'Alte Reben' (old vines) bottling is sourced from ancient, deep-rooted vines planted on these precipitous slopes. The terroir here is a dramatic combination of weathered Devonian slate and Taunus quartzite, which absorbs the sun's heat and radiates it back to the grapes.
