✨ Tekniske specifikationer
Hailing from the steep, dramatic slopes of Southern Styria, the Ehrenhausener Korallenkalk Sauvignon Blanc is a masterclass in terroir-driven winemaking. The name 'Korallenkalk' pays homage to the unique soil of the region—ancient coral limestone formed millions of years ago when the area was submerged under a warm, subtropical sea. This fossilized marine heritage imparts a distinct, salty minerality and crystalline tension to the wine. Weingut Tement crafts this village wine (Ortswein) using biodynamic farming practices, hand-harvesting the grapes at optimal ripeness. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and aged on the fine lees in a combination of stainless steel and large neutral oak casks, the wine beautifully balances vibrant citrus and herbal notes with a deep, chalky texture and remarkable purity. It stands as a profound testament to the historic soils of Ehrenhausen.
