Weingut Tement's Muska.t Brut is a sparkling masterpiece that highlights the vibrant, aromatic potential of Gelber Muskateller (Yellow Muscat), one of the world's oldest cultivated grape varieties. Sourced from the steep, wind-swept hills of Southern Styria, where cool alpine breezes meet Mediterranean influences, this traditional-method sparkling wine captures the region's unique terroir. The grapes are harvested by hand from limestone-rich soils, ensuring a high natural acidity that balances the variety's intense aromatics. Through careful bottle fermentation and lees aging, Tement tames the wild, floral nature of Muskateller, transforming it into an elegant, bone-dry sparkling wine filled with notes of elderflower, fresh nutmeg, and citrus zest, underpinned by a distinct salty minerality. It represents a sophisticated, modern Austrian take on a historic grape.

Det familieejede Weingut Tement blev grundlagt i 1959 og regnes i dag for et ubestridt referencepunkt i Südsteiermark, smukt beliggende på de stejle, dramatiske skråninger langs den østrigsk-slovenske grænse. Vingården opnåede international berømmelse under Manfred Tement og drives i dag videre af sønnerne Armin og Stefan Tement med en kompromisløs, certificeret biodynamisk tilgang. Vinmarkerne er rige på kalksten og koral-kalkholdig jordbund, hvilket danner grundlaget for husets verdensklasse Sauvignon Blanc og Morillon (Chardonnay). Vinene udmærker sig ved deres knivskarpe præcision, store lagringspotentiale og dybe terroirpræg, ikke mindst i de ikoniske enkeltmarksaftapninger fra berømte cru-parceller som Ried Zieregg og Ried Grassnitzberg.
