Weingut Tement's 'Ton & Mergel' Weissburgunder is a masterful expression of Pinot Blanc shaped by the unique geological heritage of Southern Styria. The name itself, translating to 'Clay & Marl,' pays direct homage to the dual soil types that define the vineyards. In this cool-climate alpine region, the vines dig deep into these ancient marine sedimentary soils, imparting a distinctive salty minerality and structural tension to the wine. Under the meticulous biodynamic stewardship of the Tement family, the grapes are hand-harvested and spontaneously fermented using native yeasts.
