While the Platinum series is historically famous for its Barossa Valley release, this Adelaide Hills expression highlights a dramatically different, cool-climate side of South Australian Shiraz. Situated in the elevated, undulating slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges, the Adelaide Hills vineyard sites benefit from cool breezes and significant diurnal temperature shifts. This slow ripening process allows the Shiraz grapes to retain natural acidity while developing intense aromatic complexity, fine-grained tannins, and a signature white pepper and dark berry profile. Matured in premium, individually selected French oak barriques, this wine is a masterclass in elegance, structure, and restraint, offering a sophisticated contrast to the traditional, robust warm-climate styles of the region.

Wolf Blass blev grundlagt i 1966 af den tyskfødte vinmager Wolfgang Blass. Huset startede i et ydmygt blikskur i Sydaustraliens berømte Barossa Valley, men voksede hurtigt til et af landets mest hæderkronede og ikoniske vinhuse.
