✨ wine.spec_sheet

Crafted by the historic Wolfberger cooperative based in the medieval village of Eguisheim, the Cuvée Prestige Saint Léon IX pays tribute to Pope Leo IX, who was born in Eguisheim in 1002. This sparkling Crémant d'Alsace is produced using the traditional method, undergoing secondary fermentation in the bottle. It is typically crafted from a blend of Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois grown on Alsace's diverse clay-limestone soils. The terroir imparts a vibrant minerality and crisp acidity, while extended aging on the lees yields a delicate, persistent mousse with aromas of green apple, white blossoms, and a subtle hint of toasted brioche.
