✨ Technical Specifications
Wolfberger, a historic cooperative founded in Alsace in 1902, is celebrated not only for its fine wines but also for its traditional fruit liqueurs. The Pêche de Vigne (vineyard peach) liqueur pays homage to a classic viticultural tradition. Historically, winemakers planted these small, highly aromatic, red-fleshed peaches at the ends of grapevine rows. Because these peach trees are highly sensitive to powdery mildew, they served as an early warning system for vineyard managers to protect their vines. Wolfberger captures the essence of this heirloom fruit by macerating the wild peaches in neutral spirit, resulting in a liqueur that is intensely aromatic, velvety, and bursting with the concentrated flavor of fresh stone fruit.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1902 in the historic village of Eguisheim, Wolfberger was established when visionary local winegrowers united to create one of Alsace's most prominent and influential cooperative houses. A pioneer in regional innovation, the producer played an instrumental role in the official establishment of the Crémant d'Alsace AOC in 1976, harmonizing centuries-old regional tradition with modern winemaking precision. Wolfberger carefully oversees a vast mosaic of Alsace terroirs, emphasizing sustainable viticulture and meticulous parcel selection. The house is widely acclaimed for its classic single-varietal expressions—including aromatic Gewurztraminer, mineral-driven Riesling, and structured Pinot Noir—alongside elegant Crémant sparkling wines, lusciously concentrated Vendanges Tardives, and traditional fruit brandies.
