A daring masterpiece that defies the strictures of French wine law, Sacril(ge is Xavier Vignon's ultimate tribute to the diverse terroirs of the Rhône Valley. By blending the structured, aromatic Syrah of Northern Rhône's Côte-Rôtie with the opulent, sun-drenched Grenache of Southern Rhône's Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Vignon committed what traditionalists consider a literal sacrilege. Because French regulations forbid the blending of different protected appellations, this exceptional cuvé must be declassified and released under the humble 'Vin de France' designation. The result is an extraordinary marriage of two worlds: the cool-climate elegance, violet aromas, and black pepper of the north combined with the warmth, ripe dark fruit, and wild garrigue spice of the south.
