✨ wine.spec_sheet

Established in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii near Kyoto, Yamazaki is Japan's oldest malt whisky distillery. Situated at the boundary where the Katsura, Uji, and Kizu rivers meet, the distillery benefits from a unique, misty microclimate and exceptionally soft water, famously praised by legendary tea master Sen no Rikyu. The Yamazaki 25 Year Old is an ultra-premium masterpiece of Japanese spirits, historically matured in select Spanish oak sherry casks alongside precious Mizunara and American oak. This slow, quarter-century maturation imparts a profound complexity, featuring deep notes of dried cherry, dark chocolate, spiced wood, and sandalwood, reflecting the meticulous artistry of Japanese blending.
