Hailing from Japan's oldest commercial distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii near Kyoto, the Yamazaki Single Malt Bourbon Barrel showcases the mastery of Japanese whisky-making. Situated at the confluence of three rivers—the Katsura, Uji, and Kizu—the distillery benefits from a unique, humid microclimate and exceptionally pure water, famously praised by Sen no Rikyu, the historical master of the Japanese tea ceremony. This expression is matured exclusively in select American oak bourbon barrels. The wood imparts a beautiful golden hue and infuses the spirit with signature notes of creamy vanilla, sweet honey, tropical coconut, and ripe peach, balancing the distillery's characteristic deep, complex distillate with a clean, vibrant wood character.
