✨ wine.spec_sheet

Zenato's Lugana Brut is a brilliant expression of the Turbiana (Trebbiano di Lugana) grape, crafted using the traditional Metodo Classico. Founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato, the estate has been instrumental in showcasing the nobility of the Lugana appellation. Grown in the fertile, clay-rich morainic soils south of Lake Garda, the grapes benefit from a unique microclimate tempered by lake breezes. This sparkling wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and rests on its lees, developing a refined effervescence that beautifully balances the grape's natural high acidity and vibrant minerality with delicate notes of white flowers, golden apple, and toasted brioche. It is a celebratory nod to the rich winemaking history of the region.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla, the Zenato winery is situated on the morainic hills of Lake Garda in San Benedetto di Lugana, Veneto, Italy. Today, the estate is managed by their children, Alberto and Francesca, who continue to champion the unique terroirs of both Lugana and Valpolicella. Renowned for pioneering the quality resurgence of the indigenous Turbiana grape, Zenato produces exceptional white wines, including the iconic Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato. In Valpolicella, the family crafts powerful, elegant red wines from their Costalunga estate, most notably their acclaimed Amarone della Valpolicella Classico and the single-varietal Corvina, Cresasso.
