The Colombara Soave Classico from the renowned Zenato estate is a beautiful testament to the volcanic terroirs of Veneto. Sourced from the historic Colombara vineyard in the heart of the Soave Classico zone, this white wine is crafted primarily from the indigenous Garganega grape, occasionally complemented by Trebbiano di Soave. The Zenato family, who founded their winery in 1960, selected this site for its ideal microclimate and mineral-rich, basaltic soils. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the vibrant, fresh fruit character and distinct floral aromas. Historically, the Soave region has been celebrated since Roman times, with its name reputedly praised by the poet Dante Alighieri. Zenato's expression pays homage to this heritage, delivering a wine defined by notes of white peach, elderflower, and a signature bitter almond finish.

Zenato blev grundlagt i 1960 af Sergio og Carla Zenato på de sydlige bredder af Gardasøen. Vingården er i dag en ikonisk reference for to vidt forskellige terroirs og er bredt anerkendt for både at have løftet Turbiana-druens (Trebbiano di Lugana) anseelse og for at mestre de klassiske rødvine fra Verona. Familiens vinmarker dækker over de mineralske, tætte morænelersjorde i Lugana samt de højtbeliggende kalk- og mergelterrasser ved Tenuta Costalunga i Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella. I dag videreføres arven af anden generation, søskendeparret Alberto og Nadia Zenato, som satser kompromisløst på bæredygtig vinavl certificeret under Equalitas-ordningen, hvor regionale traditioner forenes med moderne præcision. Vinifikationen er skræddersyet til at fremhæve druernes renhed, et langt lagringspotentiale og en uspoleret terroirpræcision. De hvide vine gæres og lagres på temperaturstyrede ståltanke, mens de særlige selektioner modnes på træfade, og de røde ikoner skabes med forfinede appassimento-teknikker. Blandt husets toneangivende vine finder man flagskibet Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato, Lugana San Benedetto, Metodo Classico Lugana Brut samt monumentale rødvinsikoner som Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva og Ripassa Valpolicella Superiore.
