Hailing from the historic Zenato estate, founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato near the shores of Lake Garda, this Pinot Grigio captures the vibrant spirit of the Delle Venezie DOC. While the Zenato family is legendary for their Amarone, their dedication to showcasing local terroir shines brilliantly in this crisp white. Sourced from selected vineyards across the gravelly, mineral-rich soils of the Veneto, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel. This meticulous, unoaked process preserves the grape's natural vivacity, delivering a wine defined by delicate floral aromas, bright citrus, and a clean, refreshing minerality that reflects the breezy, sun-drenched hillsides of northeastern Italy.
🍾 wine.about_producer
Founded in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla, the Zenato winery is situated on the morainic hills of Lake Garda in San Benedetto di Lugana, Veneto, Italy. Today, the estate is managed by their children, Alberto and Francesca, who continue to champion the unique terroirs of both Lugana and Valpolicella. Renowned for pioneering the quality resurgence of the indigenous Turbiana grape, Zenato produces exceptional white wines, including the iconic Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato. In Valpolicella, the family crafts powerful, elegant red wines from their Costalunga estate, most notably their acclaimed Amarone della Valpolicella Classico and the single-varietal Corvina, Cresasso.
