Corte Giara was established in 1989 by the historic Allegrini family, pioneers of the Valpolicella region, with the goal of combining traditional Veronese winemaking with a modern, approachable style. The 'Pagus' line, named after the ancient Roman term for rural districts, pays homage to the deep historical roots of Veneto's viticulture. Crafted primarily from classic local varieties Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grown on the region's characteristic clay-limestone hillsides, this red wine utilizes traditional techniques such as appassimento or ripasso.
