Hailing from the prestigious Tenuta Guado al Tasso estate in the coastal Bolgheri region of Tuscany, Antinori's Scalabrone Rosato is named after a legendary 19th-century bandit, a Robin Hood-like figure who once roamed the local hills. This distinctive rosé is crafted from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, reflecting the modern, international spirit of Bolgheri's terroir. The vineyards benefit from a mild maritime climate and clay-loam soils, which impart both richness and refreshing acidity to the grapes. To preserve its vibrant fruit character, the wine undergoes a brief maceration on the skins followed by fermentation and short aging in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, resulting in a bright, cherry-pink rosé with expressive aromas of wild berries, herbs, and subtle spice.
