The Compagni Portis Vineyard, planted in 1954 in the Sonoma Valley, is a living museum of California's viticultural history. While the state's old-vine heritage is famously associated with red field blends, this vineyard represents a rare, historic white field blend. Dominated by Gewürztraminer, Trousseau Gris, Riesling, and Roter Veltliner, these ancient, dry-farmed vines are rooted in cool, clay-loam soils. Bedrock Wine Co. co-ferments these varieties using native yeasts and neutral oak aging to preserve the vineyard's singular voice. The resulting wine is a breathtakingly aromatic and textured masterpiece, offering an exotic bouquet of lychee, white flowers, and stone fruit, underpinned by a striking mineral core and vibrant acidity.
