Hailing from the historic Lorenzo's Vineyard in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley, Bedrock Wine Co.'s Lorenzo's Heritage is a profound tribute to California's viticultural pioneers. Originally planted in the early 1900s by Italian immigrant Lorenzo Teldeschi, this ancient vineyard yields a classic field blend dominated by Zinfandel, alongside significant portions of Carignan and Petite Sirah. The vines are rooted in the valley's signature gravelly clay loam soils, which impart a distinct mineral depth and structure to the wine. Bedrock employs minimal-intervention winemaking, utilizing native yeast fermentation and aging in French oak barrels to let the voice of this centenarian vineyard sing. The resulting wine is a masterclass in balance, offering a rich tapestry of dark brambly fruit, cracked black pepper, and savory spice, underpinned by the vibrant acidity of Carignan and the muscular tannins of Petite Sirah.
