✨ wine.spec_sheet

Sourced from one of the most historic mountain vineyards in Sonoma, the Montecillo Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterclass in old-school California structure. Planted in the late 1960s by Kaare Lassen on the rugged, volcanic slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains—now within the Moon Mountain District AVA—this high-altitude site sits at roughly 1,700 feet. The dry-farmed, old vines struggle in the iron-rich, red soils, producing tiny, thick-skinned berries with intense concentration. Bedrock Wine Co. honors this exceptional terroir by employing traditional, low-intervention winemaking techniques, including fermentation with native yeasts and aging in French oak barrels. The resulting wine is a throwback to the legendary California Cabernets of the 1970s, characterized by its deep structure, vibrant acidity, and complex aromatic profile of dark currants, graphite, wild briar, and a signature mountain herbaceousness reminiscent of bay leaf and sage.
