✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hailing from the Weill a Way Vineyard, nestled in the rocky, volcanic foothills of the Sonoma Valley near Glen Ellen, this Syrah is a masterclass in Northern Rhône-inspired California winemaking. Winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW utilizes the vineyard's unique microclimate—where warm daytime temperatures are mitigated by cool afternoon breezes—to craft a wine of exceptional depth and structural integrity. The wine is typically fermented with a significant portion of whole clusters to enhance its savory, aromatic complexity and structured tannins, then aged in French oak barrels with a minimal footprint of new wood. The result is a Syrah that beautifully balances intense dark fruit with classic Old World signatures of cracked black pepper, cured meats, black olives, and dried lavender, paying homage to the great wines of Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie while remaining distinctively Californian.
