✨ Technical Specifications
Crafted by the visionary Stéphane Tissot, the '10 Ans d'Age' is a masterclass in the traditional oxidative winemaking of the Jura. This extraordinary dry white wine is made entirely from Savagnin grapes and undergoes an astonishing ten years of aging 'sous voile' (under a veil of flor yeast) in neutral oak casks without any topping up. This prolonged contact with the yeast veil—nearly four years longer than the legal requirement for Vin Jaune—results in a wine of breathtaking complexity, power, and depth. It pays homage to the historic, patient cellaring traditions of Montigny-les-Arsures, capturing the essence of the region's blue marl and limestone soils through an intense aromatic profile of toasted walnuts, exotic curry spices, dried stone fruits, and a piercing, saline minerality.
🍾 About the Producer
Established in 1962 by André and Mireille Tissot and taken over by their son Stéphane alongside his wife Bénédicte in 1990, Domaine Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot is an iconic benchmark of the Jura region, located in the village of Montigny-lès-Arsures near Arbois, France. A relentless pioneer of organic and biodynamic viticulture, Stéphane transitioned the estate to biodynamics in the early 2000s, championing minimal-intervention cellar techniques and native yeast fermentations to reveal hyper-specific terroirs. The domaine produces an extraordinary array of wines spanning profound single-vineyard Chardonnays from sites like Clos de la Tour de Curon and La Mailloche, energetic Savagnins, traditional sous-voile Vin Jaune, vibrant reds from indigenous Trousseau and Poulsard, and exceptional Crémant du Jura such as Indigène. Celebrated for their mineral intensity, purity, and vibrant tension, the estate's artisanal bottlings have rightfully elevated the global reputation of Jura winemaking.
