The 'Clos de la Tour de Curon' is one of the Jura's most legendary terroirs, a historic, steep south-facing amphitheater overlooking Arbois with pure Bajocian limestone soils. Stéphane Tissot painstakingly reclaimed and replanted this parcel in 2001 with Savagnin at an ultra-high density of 12,000 vines per hectare. This Vin Jaune is crafted through traditional, patient oxidative aging, spending over six years 'sous voile' (under a veil of flor yeast) in un-topped oak casks. The result is a monumental, deeply mineral expression of Savagnin, marrying intense saline tension with complex notes of walnut, fenugreek, dried orange peel, and exotic spices.
