Paying homage to the founding year of the estate, the Generazione Mille898 line represents the culmination of over a century of Sicilian winemaking heritage. Due Neri, meaning Two Blacks, is an innovative blend that bridges two distinct Sicilian terroirs by uniting the island's premier red grape varieties: Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese. Nero d'Avola, grown in the warm, sun-drenched clay soils of central-southern Sicily, contributes rich blackberry fruit, warmth, and velvety tannins. In contrast, Nerello Mascalese, harvested from the high-altitude, mineral-rich volcanic soils of Mount Etna, infuses the blend with elegant red berry notes, vibrant acidity, and a distinctive smoky minerality. The grapes are vinified separately in stainless steel to preserve their varietal purity before being blended, resulting in a harmonious red that captures the diverse soul of Sicily.
