Named after the legendary Sicanian king Hyblon and the historic Iblei hills of southeastern Sicily, Hybla is Cantine Nicosia's elegant tribute to Cerasuolo di Vittoria, the island's only DOCG appellation. This red wine is a classic blend of Nero d'Avola and Frappato, grown in the characteristic sandy, iron-rich soils of the region. Nero d'Avola provides the wine with its structure, deep color, and dark cherry fruit, while Frappato infuses the blend with vibrant acidity, fresh wild strawberry aromas, and a delicate floral bouquet. Fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve its bright, fruit-forward character, Hybla beautifully captures the sun-drenched Mediterranean climate tempered by cool evening breezes, resulting in a remarkably balanced and graceful red wine.

Founded in 1898 by Francesco Nicosia, Cantine Nicosia is a historic family-owned winery located in Trecastagni on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. Today, under the stewardship of Carmelo Nicosia and his sons, the estate champions sustainable and organic viticulture across its high-altitude volcanic vineyards, particularly on the ancient Monte Gorna crater. The winery is highly renowned for its expressive Etna DOC wines crafted from indigenous varieties like Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, as well as its elegant Sosta Tre Santi Metodo Classico sparkling wines.
