On the southeastern slopes of Mount Etna, the extinct volcanic cone of Monte Gorna provides a dramatic backdrop for Cantine Nicosia's organic vineyards. Planted in mineral-rich black volcanic sands at high altitudes, these vines endure extreme diurnal temperature shifts that lock in vibrant acidity and complex aromatics. The Monte Gorna Organic Bianco is an elegant expression of this unique terroir, blending indigenous Sicilian white grapes that are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel to preserve their pure, mineral-driven character. The wine beautifully captures the essence of the volcano, offering a striking saline minerality, bright citrus blossom aromas, and a distinct flinty finish reminiscent of the smoking giant nearby.
