Hailing from the sun-drenched hills of Sicily, Cantine Nicosia's Nero d'Avola Bio Vegan represents a harmonious blend of ancient winemaking tradition and modern ecological mindfulness. Nero d'Avola, the undisputed king of Sicilian red grapes, takes its name from the coastal town of Avola in the south of the island, where it has been cultivated for centuries. This expression is crafted with a deep respect for the land, utilizing certified organic farming practices that preserve the natural biodiversity of the vineyards. In the cellar, the winemaking process eschews all animal-derived fining agents, resulting in a certified vegan wine that purely reflects its terroir. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve the vibrant, sun-baked red fruit character, this wine showcases dark cherry notes, wild blackberries, and a touch of Mediterranean herbs.
