Hailing from the prestigious Colchagua Valley, Casa Silva's Edición Limitada Petit Verdot showcases the incredible potential of this late-ripening Bordeaux variety in Chilean soils. Grown primarily in the warm, sun-drenched micro-terroir of Los Lingues at the foot of the Andes Mountains, the grapes benefit from intense daytime heat balanced by cooling mountain breezes at night. This dramatic diurnal temperature variation allows the notoriously stubborn Petit Verdot to achieve phenolic ripeness while retaining its vibrant natural acidity. Traditionally used as a minor blending grape to add color and structure, Casa Silva elevates it to a standalone star. The wine undergoes meticulous hand-sorting and is aged in French oak barrels, resulting in a deeply colored, full-bodied red with complex aromas of dark blue fruits, violet, black pepper, and graphite, backed by muscular yet finely integrated tannins.

Established in 1997 by the Silva family, whose winemaking roots in Chile's Colchagua Valley date back to 1892, Viña Casa Silva is a pioneering estate headquartered at Hijuela Norte S/N, Angostura, San Fernando, O'Higgins, Chile. Under the leadership of Mario Pablo Silva, the winery has earned international acclaim for its rigorous terroir research, particularly its groundbreaking micro-terroir studies of Carmenere in the Los Lingues region. Casa Silva is also celebrated for pushing viticultural boundaries into extreme cool-climate territories, producing exceptional Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah from Paredones on the 'Cool Coast,' as well as pioneering Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc from the remote Lago Ranco in Chile's southern Austral region.
