Hailing from the Sylvanus Vineyard, planted in 1999 in the Bridgehampton silt loam soils of Long Island's South Fork, this unique Rosato is a testament to Channing Daughters' adventurous spirit. The wine is made from Franconia, the northern Italian name for the Blaufränkisch grape, reflecting the winery's deep admiration for the alpine and maritime wines of Friuli. Benefiting from the cooling breezes of the nearby Atlantic Ocean and Peconic Bay, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing to create a dry, pale, and highly aromatic rosé. This wine beautifully captures the maritime terroir of the East End, offering a savory salinity, vibrant acidity, and delicate red fruit character that sets it apart from more conventional domestic rosés.

Founded by Walter Channing with initial vineyard plantings dating back to 1982 in Bridgehampton on Long Island's South Fork, Channing Daughters Winery stands as one of New York's most inventive and boundary-pushing artisanal producers. Guided by partner and winemaker Christopher Tracy alongside partner Larry Perrine, the estate champions low-intervention, sustainable viticulture across its distinctive maritime terroir.
