Marananga is celebrated for its ancient red clay loam and ironstone soils, which, under the warm South Australian sun, produce Shiraz grapes of extraordinary concentration and thick skins. Chateau Tanunda utilizes traditional winemaking techniques, including open fermenters and basket pressing, to gently extract the deep colors and rich tannins characteristic of this terroir. The wine is aged in a selection of French and American oak barrels, resulting in a classic Barossa style that balances intense dark fruit flavors with savory complexity and structured elegance.
