Compass Box Canvas is an imaginative limited-edition blended malt Scotch whisky that showcases the blending house's artistic spirit. The centerpiece of this expression is the influence of experimental aging: a portion of the blend was finished in casks that previously held Spanish Vino de Naranja (orange wine from Andalusia), which infuses the spirit with a vibrant, citrusy brightness. This is married with single malts from distilleries such as Glen Elgin, Balmenach, and Miltonduff, aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels and re-charred American oak. The name 'Canvas' represents the blank slate of blending, where whiskies are treated as brushstrokes of flavor, resulting in a profile rich with notes of marmalade, forest honey, and baking spices.
