The line's name pays homage to the famous 19th-century legend created by founder Don Melchor de Concha y Toro, who spread the rumor that the devil himself guarded his private cellar to deter thieves. This Viognier benefits from the unique coastal breezes and mineral-rich soils of northern Chile, which temper the warm sun and allow the grapes to ripen slowly. To preserve its intense aromatic profile and natural acidity, the wine is primarily fermented in stainless steel tanks, resulting in a bright, medium-bodied white characterized by lush notes of apricot, peach, and delicate white flowers.
